What a pleasure to be able to enjoy a Langhe Nebbiolo with a refinement from a Barolo. Made from estate vines located in La Morra, facing southeast. Each older vine is pruned carefully, to ensure very low yields. Age of vines is 35 years, on average Wine is fermented on indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks. Aged 12 months in tonneaux (30% new) then an additional eight months in 25HL “botti” and tank. Unfined and unfiltered.
The nose has hints of black cherries, dried wildflowers, mint, white pepper. Wonderfully aromatic and pure.
The value play in the Roberto Voerzio range, a Langhe Nebbiolo that drinks like a Barolo. A great introduction to the style that won't disappoint.
