Domaine Michel Mallard et Fils - Corton Grand Cru 'Le Rognet' 1999

IN STOCK

Michel Mallard and sons' vineyard is located in the commune of Ladoix-Serrigny, a small village at the junction between the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. Vine growers from father to son for five generations, the vineyard has expanded over time and now cultivates 11 hectares of vineyards. Maryse and Patrick Mallard, at the head of this wine company, take care of this heritage in producing wines in Burgundy, Côte de Nuits-Villages, Chorey-les-Beaune, Savigny-les-Beaune, Ladoix, Aloxe-Corton, Corton and Corton-Charlemagne appellations.

Located in Ladoix-Serrigny, this parcel has a southeastern exposure at the climat Le Rognet. Over time, it has been « rogné » – clipped - (meaning to correct an edge by cutting) off from the locality Corton.

Corton Grand Cru Rognet is a wine here hints of violet, blueberries, blackberries and blackcurrant meet with liquorice and pepper spices. It possesses a velvety, complex structure and impressive persistency. Can be aged for a surprisingly long time.
