Montevetrano is a red wine Colli di Salerno IGT, composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, Aglianico, Merlot. It is produced just a few kilometres from Salerno in the winery of Montevetrano owned by Silvia Imparato in San Cipriano Picentino. It is vinified with own grapes and bottled at the estate, to guarantee total control of the whole productive cycle. The composition of the soil is medium-texture, with bones fragments.
98 points - James Suckling #9 on Top 100 Italian Wines of 2017: "I love the polish and complexity to this red. It delivers subtle currant, dried herb and spice character as well as a full body that is tight and focused. Such polished tannins. It goes on for minutes. One of the best vintages in years!"
"Deep purple-ruby. Rich aromas of dark plum, black currant, cedar, graphite and minerals on the captivating nose. Then clean, fresh and juicy, offering flavors similar to the aromas and an extremely refined mouthfeel. Licorice and violet elements feature on the long, graceful, multilayered finish. Very promising young Montevetrano" - 94 points, Vinous
