Mas Alta - Priorat 'Artigas' 2020

Bodegas Mas Alta, located in the village of La Vilella Alta, is a project headed by three enologists: Michel Tardieu, Philippe Cambie and Bixente Oçafraim. Of all the cuvées produced at Mas Alta, Artigas has the highest percentage of Garnatxa (about 70%), with Cabernet Sauvignon and old-vine Carinyena making up the balance.  From steeps slopes of schist in a warm terroir, Artigas is a silk and rich wine aged in French oak barrels – 1/3 new, 1/3 second fill and 1/3 third fill.

It's very fruit-driven, juicy and plush, with a mixture of berries, spices and Mediterranean herbs, aromatic, open and attractive. The palate is medium-bodied, with fine tannins and integrated acidity. 

Great value Priorat. Highly recommended.
