Ca’Marcanda was founded by wine icon Angelo Gaja in 1996, as a way for him to apply his experience to growing international varietals in the Maremma.

The vineyards used for Vistamare actually enjoy a panoramic view of the Tuscan horizon and their grapes are gently touched by the salt air and brilliant colors of the Tuscan sea. 

Color is clear and bright green-lemon. This wine opens with pronounced notes of white and yellow blossom such as acacia, with hints of vanilla and candied fruits. On the palate, the wine is intensely smooth and characterized by an electric tang of acidity and minerality. The wine finishes with ripe and honey note

"The 2022 Vistamare has a medium straw hue and is expressive and resinous with aromas of candle wax and tropical fruit as well as notes of melon, white grapefruit, and fresh chive. It has good texture and concentration, with lovely focus, and never feels blowsy or overblown. It is an impressive vintage for the Vistamare, with lovely salinity on the finish. 15% Fiano.
