Domaine de l’Horizon is a hidden gem in the world of winemaking, nestled in Calce at the base of the snow-capped Pyrénées. Founded by Thomas Teibert, the estate embodies a profound love for nature. Guided by the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture, Domaine de l’Horizon craft exceptional wines that truly reflect the essence of their terroir in the picturesque region of Roussillon. Emmanuelle Maltas, in collaboration with Joachim Christ, carries on Thomas’s legacy while preserving the estate’s unique character. Domaine de l'Horizon Rouge comes from a blend of Carignan and Grenache Noir. The grapes are taken from our oldest vines, over 100 years old. These vines are managed in accordance with ancestral gestures. They offer precious and beautiful bunches every year for yields ranging from 5 to 10hL/ha.

Vinification is carried out in truncated wooden vats. The grapes, some of which are whole bunches, macerate for two weeks. The extractions are gentle and controlled in order to guarantee supple tannins while giving a beautiful body to the wine. Fermentation, carried out by native flora, continues in demi-muids. Aging takes place on fine lees for one year.
