Bernabelva was a pioneer who put Gredos on the radar of many now-famous names in Spain and the zone – names like Raul Perez, Dani Landi, and more. Bernabeleva was a founding partner in Comando G (now only Dani Landi and Fernando Garcia) the goal of which was to help bring more attention to the zone. The first wines of Comando G were made at Bernabeleva.
All fruit is pressed into a combinations of vessels - used oak barrels, large oak vats and stainless steel. All fermentations are with native wild yeasts. The wines age in their fermentation vessels and depending on taste some go through malo and others do not.
"The entry-level white is the young village 2023 Camino de Navaherreros Blanco that was produced mostly with Albillo Real but also contains other grapes from their youngest plots. It fermented with indigenous yeasts, part in barrel, and matured in 500-liter barrels and tinajas. It's clean, floral and expressive, with purity of flavors, a spicy twist and a very tasty finish with a salty and bitter twist. It keeps the freshness and balance with a moderate 13% alcohol and a pH of 3.34. 12,000 bottles produced." - 90 Points, Wine Advocate
