$50.00
Château Haut-Goujon has 18 hectares of vines located in the appellations of Lalande-de-Pomerol and Montagne-Saint-Emilion.
'Cuvée No. 1' comes from the oldest vines of gravel and clay in the basement, this wine is produced only on certain vintages and in small quantities. Soil is sandy-gravel-sandy and the blend is 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Average age of vines is 35 years. Vinification: vatting for 20 days in thermo regulated stainless steel vats and aging in new French oak barrels (100%) for 12 to 14 months. Production: Depending on the quality of the harvest, only 1200 bottles. Aging ability: 10 - 20 years
Tasting notes : A very silky and balanced wine with powerful nose of ripe fruit, vanilla and the wood is well integrated. It is a wine that has charm and personality. This is a wine that is drinking very nice, like many 2016's in Bordeaux.
Highly recommended wine from the right bank. Great bang for your buck!!!
