Clos Sainte-Magdeleine 'Côtes de Provence' Rosé 2022

IN STOCK

Unique wines in the heart of the Calanques National Park. Placed like a watchtower facing the Mediterranean, the Clos Sainte Magdeleine is above all an exceptional site.

The cultivation of the vine dates back to the 12th century, thus making it a historic vineyard of Provence. Its terroir is made up of sandstone and sandy marl from the Cretaceous, soil favorable to the production of great dry white wines. It is a unique place where the elements (water, earth, light and winemaker) come together. Clos Sainte Magdeleine produce organic wines that respect the soils and guarantee a true identity, finely mineral and saline. The wines are to be drunk immediately or to be forgotten for several years in the cellar.

The 2022 Clos Ste. Magdeleine Cotes de Provence Rose is quite simply worth every penny and so much more. This Côtes de Provence rosé is sourced from a vineyard in La Ciotat, about halfway between Cassis and Bandol and not far from the Mediterranean coast. Clos Sainte Magdeleine has crafted what is perhaps the quintessential Provençal refresher—an uplifting nectar of bright citrus, fresh berry fruit, wild herbs, and salty sea air—that is a far cry from the countless technological, mass-marketed examples in production throughout the region.

Blend: 35% Grenache, 35% Cinsault, 20% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah

Importer Notes: "The Cotes de Provence is sourced from a vineyard in La Ciotat, about halfway between Cassis and Bandol and not far from the Mediterranean coast. Using a similar blend to their original Cassis rosé, vigneron Jonathan Sack has crafted what is perhaps the quintessential Provençal refresher—an uplifting nectar of bright citrus, fresh berry fruit, wild herbs, and salty sea air—that is a far cry from the countless technological, mass-marketed examples in production throughout the region."
