Unique wines in the heart of the Calanques National Park. Placed like a watchtower facing the Mediterranean, the Clos Sainte Magdeleine is above all an exceptional site.
The cultivation of the vine dates back to the 12th century, thus making it a historic vineyard of Provence. Its terroir is made up of sandstone and sandy marl from the Cretaceous, soil favorable to the production of great dry white wines. It is a unique place where the elements (water, earth, light and winemaker) come together. Clos Sainte Magdeleine produce organic wines that respect the soils and guarantee a true identity, finely mineral and saline. The wines are to be drunk immediately or to be forgotten for several years in the cellar.
The aroma is ripe and grapes, and all the flavors are intact because the Clos Sainte Madeleine has agreed to forgo a filtration at the mise en bouteille. A blend of Ugni blanc, Claudette, Marsanne, and Sauvignon blanc, here is the wine to enhance seafood and shellfish. On a warm evening it serves as an appropriate apéritif. It goes particularly well with Roquefort and goat cheese. And you sailors, here is the wine for your boat’s ice chest. It tastes as good on the Pacific as it does on the Mediterranean.
Composed of 40% Marsanne, 30% Ugni Blanc, 25% Clairette, and 5% Bourboulenc that aged in stainless steel tanks and two 500L demi-muids on its fine lees until spring or early summer bottling. Certified Organic
Vinonueva Tasting Notes: Orchard fruit aromatics, with a gentle, light body and subtle acidity. A floral wine that carries great distinction. A must try for those curious about the outer bounds of French wine.
