Domaine Francois Gaunoux - Meursault 'Clos de Meix Chavaux' Monopole 2021

Domaine Francois Gaunoux is a family-run winery located in Meursault. Today they have approx. 10 acres of associated vineyards scattered around the farm, and the winery is run by daughter Claudine Gaunoux. There is a focus on nature, the area, the well-being of the vineyard and a "hands-off" principle in the wine cellar. Claudine appreciates the natural characteristics of terroir and the grapes, and is therefore also very careful about using oak in production - most wines in newer vintages are therefore exclusively stored in steel tanks. It's a modern approach to winemaking in Burgundy, and it yields some really interesting fruit-driven wines where the individual field is allowed to shine through.
