Roger Belland is the fifth generation of Domaine Belland wines. The Domaine is based in Santenay and the vineyards extend over 23 hectares, which are mainly located in Maranges, Santenay, Chassange-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault and Volnay.
Santenay Charmes is located at the extreme southeast of the village of Santenay.
During the vinification, it ferments at low temperature for a long period, until five weeks.
Thus they obtain a rich wine, fruity and well balanced, easy to drink young and able to age as well. Coming from 35 years old Pinot Noir vines and matured for 1 year in French oak barrels. Production: 6000 bottles/year.

Purple color, intense and brilliant. Nose is persistent, fragrances of blackcurrant and cherry. On the mouth is smooth and silky tannins. Wine is light and very gourmand, to be served with cheese, roast poultry or red meat.
This a great everyday drinking option that is very approachable and easy drinking. Lovely aromatics.
