Château Lagrange Les Fiefs de Lagrange - Saint-Julien 2019

Château Lagrange, Third Classified Growth in the 1855 classification, nestles in the heart of the renowned Saint-Julien appellation.

Created in 1983, “les Fiefs de Lagrange” is so much more than a second wine. Produced from young vines (with an average age of 30 years) and planted on fine gravel soils for the Cabernet Sauvignon and clay for certain Merlots.

Tasting Notes: Les Fiefs de Lagrange 2019 may surprise you with its pure harmony! The nose offers a subtle marriage of black and red fruit, peppered with spicy notes. The palate is generous, creamy and smooth. A pleasant freshness brings balance to this wine that could be approachable young. But make no mistake, this is a bottle that will also continue to amaze us for the next 20 years !

"The 2019 Les Fiefs de Lagrange is a soft, supple easygoing wine to drink now and over the next few years. Sweet red cherry, red fruit flowers, mint, blood orange, spice and rose petal perk up the finish. Readers will find a charming Saint-Julien that captures the personality of the year in spades." - 91 Points, Vinous

"The second wine of Château Lagrange, the 2019 Les Fiefs De Lagrange is a charming, delicious wine in the making and has plenty of classic Saint-Julien purity and elegance as well as notes of cassis, violets, damp earth, and cedarwood. It's medium-bodied, nicely balanced, and already hard to resist. It's going to drink nicely for a solid decade." - 91 points, Jeb Dunnuck

"Really clear aromas of blackcurrants and blackberries with dried flowers and sandalwood. It’s full-to medium-bodied, yet with very tight, refined tannins that run the length of the finish. Second wine of Lagrange. Very well done. Best after 2024." - 92 points, James Suckling
