Presqu'ile Pinot Noir Santa Barbara County 2022

IN STOCK

Presqu’ile is led by winemaker Dieter Cronje (cool climate Pinot Noir specialist) and consulting winemaker Jeremy Seysses from Domaine Dujac (Burgundy).

Presqu’ile is a family-owned winery in the Santa Maria Valley, dedicated to crafting exceptional, cool-climate Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Syrah from Santa Barbara County. We designed and planted Presqu’ile Vineyard to create a diverse tapestry of blocks that feature an array of clones, exposures, and elevations.

The resulting wines are produced using both estate fruit and high quality fruit from select vineyard sites across the Santa Maria Valley and Santa Rita Hills. Presqu’ile aims to capture the true essence of its vineyards, vintages, and unique senses of place.

"A light shade in the glass, this county cuvée offers strawberry, red plum and graham cracker aromas alongside a rusty minerality. The palate is both zippy and ripe, with cherry flavors that are cut by a fiery acidity." - 91 points, Wine Enthusiast

"Moving to the reds, the 2022 Pinot Noir Santa Barbara County reveals a translucent ruby hue to go with solid aromatics of wild strawberries, black tea, funky herbs, and forest floor. It's medium-bodied, complex, has fine tannins, and lots of character. It over-delivers at the price." - 90 points, Jeb Dunnuck

"The 2022 Pinot Noir (Santa Barbara County) is a gorgeous appellation-level wine. Dried flowers, mint, herbs, anise and orange peel give the 2022 lovely aromatic presence. Pretty savory notes reappear on the finish, adding lift. This ethereal, lifted Pinot is a real charmer." - 90 points, Antonio Galloni Vinous
