Tessier Winery - Electric Ladyland 2023

Kristie Tacey, winemaker and founder of Tessier Winery, is a scientist turned winemaker. A former published research scientist who studied protein pathways, she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area from her native Michigan to pursue a career in biotechnology, which included working on the Human Genome Project. Kristie eventually came to realize that winemaking was her true calling; and after working as operations manager and assistant winemaker at an award-winning East Bay winery.

Tessier Winery was founded in 2009 and focuses on small, hand-crafted lots of wine. In the cellar, Kristie practices native fermentations and minimal intervention to allow each vineyard to speak for itself. She has selectively chosen organically farmed family owned and operated vineyards that are in local regions that she feel best express the varietals she loves and is inspired by.

"This wine is lively, with aromas of yellow apple, melon, lemongrass, white flowers and acacia honey on the nose. The flavors on the palate are white nectarine, roasted peach, dried apricot and white tea, interlaced with sugar snap peas, Meyer lemon zest, dried herbs, sedimentary rock and a dry, long finish. Pair with grilled halibut in Thai coconut milk." - 94 Points, Wine Enthusiast
