Zuccardi - 'Poligonos del Valle de Uco' San Pablo Malbec 2020

Sebastián Zuccardi grew up in a family that had a strong visionary and innovative spirit. Since 1963, when his grandfather planted the first hectares of grapevines in Maipú, Mendoza, the Zuccardi family has not stopped growing and developing. It has become a leader in Argentine wine production.

From his father, José Alberto Zuccardi, Sebastián inherited the determination and desire to constantly strive for excellence.

Today, Sebastián, third generation of the family, finds himself leading a young team of agricultural engineers and enologists, who are in charge of producing the highest quality wines in the Uco Valley.

Polígonos is a selection of varietals that truly reflect the people of the region they come from. The vineyards are named after the people. There is a rich and profound expression of the place through its geography and climate as well as its social, historical, and economic characteristics.

Maceration done in concrete vats with indigenous yeast. Maceration for 20 days. The wine was aged in concrete vats.

Red color with violet hues. Aromas expresses a great herbal character with notes of fresh red fruits. On the palate is has lively acidity and subtlety of tannins in the mouth.

"The 2020 Malbec Poligonos Del Valle De Uco San Pablo was aged in concrete. A vivid purple in the glass. The pure, expressive nose delivers fresh plum and sour cherry, country herbs and floral hints. In the mouth, it's energetic and driven by the freshness with finely grained tannins and a free flow. The palate lingers at length, reliving the aromatic profile. Even though 2020 was a warm year, freshness was preserved by the cool region." - 93 points, Antonio Galloni Vinous
