BACKGROUND
Becky Wasserman & Co. is a leading importer of French wines, founded by Peter's mother, Becky, in 1979. Becky Wasserman was a highly influential figure in the wine world and played a significant role in promoting Burgundy wines in the US market. She was a visionary and a trailblazer. She is known for her knowledge and passion for Burgundy, her discerning palate, and for discovering exceptional small-batch wines from all over France. Becky passed away in 2021. Her contributions to the industry will be felt for generations to come, and her legacy lives on through her sons Peter and Paul, who now lead the company.

The tasting with Peter Wasserman will be a very special event for us, as we considered Becky a dear friend and mentor. Her passion for French wines and unwavering commitment to promoting small-batch, sustainable winemaking practices has inspired us in many ways. We are honored to have her producers on our shelves and humbled to have her son Peter joining us for this tasting. In a way, this event is also a celebration of Becky's life and legacy, and we hope to honor her memory by sharing some of the exceptional wines she was so passionate about.
