In 1874 the first building was constructed at Domaine Santa Duc. Six generations succeed each other at this top Southern Rhone estate, each adding their own contribution to its development on this terroir of Gigondas that has been renowned since gallo-roman times for its characterful red wines. Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah and Cinsault; the Gras family are committed to bringing out the best in these noble grapes
Aged for 18 months in 36-hectoliter oak Stockinger foudres, and 8-hectoliter terracotta amphorae. Unfined and unfiltered at bottling.
The wines from these terroirs express themselves with elegance and finesse, characteristic of Grenache on sand.
The Vacqueyras Les Aubes has substantial fruit and earthy notes mixed with notes of pepper and licorice. A great match for roasted vegetables, and gouda cheese.
