County Line originated from a desire to provide cool-climate appellation snapshots of the Anderson Valley, Sonoma Coast, Russian River, and North Coast. A companion label since 2003, the team at Radio-Coteau utilizes low-intervention winemaking techniques and a shorter élevage in neutral French oak barrels, concrete eggs, or stainless steel to craft approachable, food-friendly wines. In partnering with select growers in Mendocino and Sonoma who are committed to organic farming practices, the name County Line was inspired by our frequent trips across those counties’ borders.
Led by winegrower and proprietor Eric Sussman, this is a modest team of farmers, cellar hands, customer liaisons, and creatives. Like the many elements essential to a healthy and diverse farm, Country Line works in tandem to bring County Line from the vineyard to the glass.
Aged in neutral French oak barrels and once-used French oak.
