Vinified with grapes from several municipalities in the Langhe.
Vinification and aging: a classic wine tied to tradition which undergoes a medium period of fermentation and maceration (approximately 15 days). It ages in large oak barrels for over a year. During its whole production process, maximum attention is paid to all the details which convey elegance and smoothness to a young Nebbiolo.
Langhe Nebbiolo DOC is increasing strongly its popularity on all markets thanks to its balance and the appeal of the Nebbiolo grape.
Garnet red with variable intensity depending on the vintage. Delicate and pleasant, the predominant notes are of raspberry and violet, with the imposition of secondary perfumes very similar to those of Barolo as it ages. A complete and temptingly harmonious wine the elegance of which makes up for its lesser structure compared with that of Barolo.
A wine for drinking with all courses of a meal, it offers its best expression when served with rich and tasty dishes, from fresh pasta with rich meat or vegetables sauces, to grilled or roast red meat dishes. It is also excellent with soft and delicate blue cheeses.
"Lithe and lovely, the Massolino 2023 Langhe Nebbiolo lures you in with heady aromas of violet, perfumed berry and cake spice. It's elegant and savory, offering flavors of wild strawberry, bitter orange and star anise accompanied by refined tannins." - 92 Points, Kerin O'Keefe
"Made mostly from young vines, this brings together fruit from vineyards with diverse altitudes and soil throughout the Langhe, yet it is a very harmonious whole. Gorgeous scents of rose and cherry blossom infuse the dark raspberry backdrop. The equally perfumed and elegantly weighted palate is redolent of pure red berry coulis. Fine, silky tannins are woven in seamlessly. Luscious acidity makes the mouth water. So easy yet so satisfying to drink." - 91 Points, Decanter
