Pierre Péters is a Champagne house in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger particularly known for its range of Blanc de Blancs Chardonnay wines. In the last decade or so the estate has risen quickly into the top flight, garnering attention from international critics.
The Péters family has grown grapes on the Côte des Blancs for six generations, beginning in 1858 when Gaston Péters of Luxembourg married into a family of local growers. The wines were labeled Camille Péters from 1919 to 1944, when it was renamed for the new proprietor, Pierre Péters.
Our vintage Champagne's blend elaborated only during the best harvest years originates from 4 single vineyards located in Le Mesnil, Avize, Cramant, Oger (100 % Grand Cru Chardonnay). Dosage is between 4.5-5.5g/L.
"The 2020 L’Esprit de 2020 is vivid and finely cut. Orchard fruit, sage, mint, white pepper and slate lend notable brightness. There’s a touch of angularity in the chiseled contours, along with the slightly drying character of the year. Even so, the 2020 is nicely balanced. This will be especially fine at the dinner table. Dosage is 4 grams per liter. Disgorged: October 2024." - 93 Points, Antonio Galloni Vinous
"This vivid, clean Champagne shows aromas of sliced sourdough, chalk, apples and pear skins. Bright and balanced, with fine bubbles and salty undertones to the ripe stone fruit. Nicely done. Disgorged November 2024. 4.2 g/L dosage. Drink now." - 93 Points, James Suckling
